Carmine Vetrano K1CJV, Deputy Emergency Coordinator Planning

Carmine is originally from Massachusetts before he moved to Florida. He has a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a Masters Degree in Health Care Management.

Carmine has a very broad background. He has owned or partnered in several business in the Retail, High Tech Manufacturing and Commercial Insurance sectors.

His primary career was as a manager of a hospital transfusion service. He was also a laboratory inspector for the College of American Pathologist and an AABB Assessor. 

Carmine’s experience in disaster service includes hospital disaster planning and was involved in transfusion services provided during the Boston Marathon bombing. His experience also includes 23 years of service in the National Guard. He is a retired Major with an extensive logistics background and a few activations for weather related and crowd related events. Upon Retiring and moving to Florida he wanted to continue giving to his community and obtained his amateur radio license and joined Lee County ARES
